MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of security work experience.

Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

NOTES:

This position is located at the Immokalee State Farmers’ Market, 424 New Market Road East, Immokalee, Florida.

The assigned 40-hour per week work schedule is 11:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m., Monday – Friday and 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday.     

Successful applicant must pass a background screening, including fingerprinting, as a condition of employment.

JOB DUTIES:

Patrol buildings and premises watching for fires, water leaks, sewer alarms, inoperative security lights, unauthorized persons/vehicles, prowlers, or any potential for loss or damage to property.

Operate truck scales as needed, issue certified weight tickets, record and collect fees.

Report any emergency situation (fire, water leaks, etc.) to appropriate first-responder agencies and Market Manager as needed. Utilize local law enforcement as needed.

Turn lights on or off as required and ensure that doors, windows and gates are properly closed/locked.

Perform incidental janitorial or clerical work such as sweeping floors, answering telephones or preparing simple reports.

Prepare reports of patrol activity and market conditions.

Complete other assignments as directed by the supervisor.
