REQUIREMENTS

 

This is work providing professional dental hygiene services consisting of prophylaxis, root planning, curettage and delegated remediable tasks.  Work may also consist of the promotion and establishment of population-based dental preventive and educational programs and related dental public health activities.

 

Must be licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Florida.  Must have knowledge of dental terminology, hygiene principles and practices.  Must be skilled in using dental equipment and instruments. Must have the  ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques, communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
