Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Florida Drivers License
  • IT experience
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013/2016 Applications
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Help Desk experience
  • Knowledge of Purchasing procedures

This position is technical work installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple distributed computer systems for use by end-users including the hardware, software, and communications components of distributed systems. This position is a member of the network and computer hardware team within the Information Technology Department and is expected to be a team player supporting other staff members. It will travel from site to site to remedy problems with computer and/or network equipment or software. This position may require adjusting work hours on short notice to allow time after hours for upgrades to computer and/or network equipment or to repair such systems due hardware or software failures. This position does fulfil a role in the disaster recovery plan and could require unusual work conditions and alternate work times in an emergency or disaster situation!

 

  • Provides tier I technical support to the help desk. Logs calls, identifies reoccurring problems, and makes recommendations for improvements.  Installs and implements distributed computer systems hardware, software, and communications components including enhancements and upgrades.  Consults with users and conducts information assessments to determine user needs and define system requirements.  Establishes methods and procedures for use of the distributed computer systems including hardware, software, communications and user training.  Develops hardware configuration plans distributed processing systems.  Assesses the effectiveness of hardware, software, and communications performance.  Analyzes and resolves hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical trouble shooting processes.  Monitors the hardware to ensure it is properly maintained. Conducts on-going system audits to evaluate the utility and efficiency of the system’s hardware, software, and communications components and the effectiveness of user training programs in meeting management information needs.
  • Responsible for all Information Technology purchasing, Cell phone management, and managing toner supply closet for St. Lucie CHD.
  • Assists the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst with IP telephone system maintenance. Reports telephone system problems to the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst.
  • Assists the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst in the design and configuration of a distributed computer systems environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communication components to solve business/office problems for both the local area and wide area network.
  • Performs related work as required.
