JOB SUMMARY:  This is a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist position, this position will provide Service Desk technical support work pertaining to hardware, software and network connectivity problems by following policies and procedures for incident and service request management. Assist customers within the Department of Revenue (DOR) as well as external customers to identify and solve hardware and software issues. Train customers on proper use of equipment and software. Respond to customer inquiries. Plan and execute activities associated with service desk desktop support for Incident Management and Request Fulfillment Processes goals and objectives.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Four years of experience in an IT-related field.

SUBSTITUTION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field of study. 

PREFERENCE:

  • Preference will be given to individuals with experience with the following systems: Microsoft Operating Systems, Cherwell or other Help Desk ticketing tool.

  • This position may require you to work outside your normal work hours including weekends.

  • This position is located in Tallahassee and is not eligible for telecommuting. 
  • This position requires you to follow established procedures and standards.
