Description of Job

This position acts as the technical lead for a fast-paced application development team focused on .NET development.  You will be performing new development and maintaining our current systems working with some of the latest development technologies:  Visual Studio 2013/2015, Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2013, ASP.Net MVC, Single Page Applications, and Web Services. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to the applicants with the following experience:

  • Professional work experience developing .NET web applications
  • Developing using relational databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
  • Professional Experience with programming using C#
  • Using advanced development techniques/patterns (Example: MVP, MVC and/or SPA)
  • Professional work experience developing applications using bootstrap, Knockout, and/or JavaScript.

 

Preference will also be given to the applicants who have at least one of the following:

  • An Associate’s degree or higher in a computer related field.
  • Web/Application development technical training or college credit.

  • Knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relational database design.
  • Knowledge of the concepts and theories of data processing and data communications.
  • Knowledge of agile application development techniques

  • Ability to design, develop and test database driven applications using industry standard techniques and guidelines

  • Ability to utilize integrated development environment tools such as Visual Studio.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to write, read, and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements.
  • Ability in operating as a technical lead for application development teams

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Job-Related Requirements:

The incumbent of this position will have access to Criminal Justice Information and must meet the requirements of the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy.

 

This position may periodically be required to work outside regular business hours.

 

SELECTION PROCESS INFORMATION:

The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
