The Florida Constitution vests the judicial power of our state in the supreme court, district courts of appeal, circuit courts, and county courts. The mission of the Florida judicial branch is to protect rights and liberties, uphold and interpret the law, and provide for the peaceful resolution of disputes. Florida’s judicial branch serves individuals, families, and businesses through 20 trial court circuits covering 67 counties, five district courts of appeal, and the state’s highest court, the Florida Supreme Court.
