Job Description

This is a mid-level professional position responsible for performing research and analysis of court operations with a focus on the case processing of Florida’s problem-solving courts. This position is responsible for the administration of the Florida Drug Court Case Management System (FDCCMS), which includes auditing, monitoring, and analyzing data derived from the FDCCMS and ensuring technical fixes, enhancements, and new releases to the FDCCMS are accurate, functional, and in compliance. This position is responsible for FDCCMS implementation, troubleshooting, training, and technical assistance to Florida’s problem-solving courts. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, processing, maintaining, preparing data and statistical information, and ensuring data quality for use in the management of court programs and operations. This position will serve as both team leader and team member. This position prepares research data sets, statistical reports, data collection plans, training materials and manuals. The position is also responsible for coordinating, projecting, analyzing, and tracking program expenditures; preparing, monitoring, and analyzing budget funding needs and requests; and preparing and presenting complex budget reports. The position handles miscellaneous ad hoc requests and provides general project support.

Education and Training Guidelines:

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.  

Bachelor’s degree in, criminal justice, social work, statistics, the social sciences or a closely related field and four years of related experience, including extensive knowledge of the Florida Courts System.

Complexity of Work:
Performs work involving the application of logical principles and thinking to solve practical problems within or applying to a unit or division of the organization; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results and frequent exposure to unusual pressure.

Makes decisions with moderately serious impact - affects work unit and may affect other units or citizens.


Equipment Usage:
Handles machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as computers, peripherals, or software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets or custom applications.


Safety of Others:
Requires some responsibility for safety and health of others and/or for occasional enforcement of the standards of public safety or health.

Special Comments: 

Ability to communicate in English in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal.

Experience with case management software and data analysis is preferred.
