This is a highly responsible position in the Fort Myers Medicaid Field Office, within the Bureau for Recipient and Provider Assistance within the Division of Medicaid, Agency for Health Care Administration. This Medicaid Field Office houses the Medicaid Complaint Operations Center and Medicaid Fair Hearings Coordination Unit. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: researching and responding to Medicaid-related issues, concerns, and complaints;   reviewing and processing Medicaid fair hearing requests; assisting Medicaid recipients and providers with navigating the Medicaid healthcare system; preparing and reviewing reports.

 

Travel will be 1-25%.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years of professional experience in social, economic, health or rehabilitative programs or health insurance as documented on the application and/or resume. 
  • Two years of experience researching and resolving customer issues and complaints as documented on the application and/or resume. 
  • One year of Microsoft Excel or similar software experience as documented on the application and/or resume and subject to basic skills test. 
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Services Administration, or Human Services is preferred and may substitute for one year of the required experience. 
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in resolving issues and complaints in a health and/or human services field as documented on the application and/or resume.
