FOOD SUPPORT WORKER (COOK)

Measures, mixes and prepares a variety of foods following standard recipes.  Determines portions of food in accordance with prescribed diets, prepares the food according to recipe/procedures to ensure minimal loss of temperature and quality.

Maintain high level of sanitation in the work and storage areas to ensure cleanliness while handling the food and equipment.  Cleans equipment and utensils. 

 

Ensures food is prepped and leftovers are stored properly and in accordance with department guidelines.

 

Work on the tray line, on the employee cafeteria, or assist with deliveries as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.
