OPS LABORER TECHNICIAN

APD TACACHALE

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

 

 The incumbent in this position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

 

This position is responsible for the daily maintenance of our grounds. This includes, but is not limited to mowing, weed eating, trimming shrubs, edging sidewalks, tree removal, brush removal and household garbage removal.

 

Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

 Must be knowledgeable of and able to use power tools.

Must be able to perform physical work such as lifting and moving materials.

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)

 

A valid Florida driver’s License. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver’s license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have “Corrective Lenses Restricted,” are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

 

At least one-year experience operating lawn equipment.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

 

This position is located at a 24- hour facility.  Working hours: Monday thru Friday. Shift: Starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Off Days: Saturday and Sunday. 

 

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.    This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
