Job Description

The successful candidate will possess and be responsible for, but not limited to the following: performing a variety of administrative and secretarial duties for managing the office of a Circuit Court Judge.  Working knowledge of trial court (including civil, family, and criminal) rules and procedures.  Work requires independent judgment and is performed under the general supervision of a Circuit Court Judge.  Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computers, word processing, electronic calendaring, and data entry applications for case management.

Education and Training Guidelines

Education: High school diploma or GED, and two years of college or vocational school education in paralegal, secretarial skills, computer operations or a closely related field.

Experience: Three years of responsible experience as a legal secretary or paralegal. 

Special Comments

The Florida State Court System is a criminal justice agency.  The successful applicant will be fingerprinted for the purpose of conducting a criminal history record check.  Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background check.
