This is work performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.  Incumbent maintains operational efficiency through the performance of laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, serology, urinalysis, therapeutic drug monitoring, and EKGs; performs quality control procedures before reporting test results according to laboratory policy and procedures; performs phlebotomy procedures and educates persons served in proper collection techniques of non-blood specimens; performs quality control, equipment maintenance, temperature checks, communicates critical results, complaints, ward draw status, calibration verification, call backs, verbal order changes, tracks unit summary of performance measures and maintains problem logs.  Applicants must possess certification by the State of Florida as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
