Agency for Persons with Disablities - Sunland - OPS Food Support Worker

 

Description:

This is work preparing and issuing food at Sunland's Food Service Department.  This is to include but not limited to the following: scrapes trays, washes dishes, sorts dishes and returns the dishes to appropriate area after each meal.  Using Flyte-type dish machine and other commercial equipment and whatever task deemed necessary to keep the dish room operating on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Assists Food Control Specialist in following menus and accurately proportions all food, meat and vegetables for each diet.  Assists in assembling trays on serving line at all meals by pushing trays or taking trays off lines and placing on food carts.  Assists in delivering of trays as needed during or after meals on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Valid Driver's License

 

Food Service experience preferred, but not required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of the equipment, procedures and techniques used in cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting.

Knowledge of the procedures for maintaining sanitary working conditions.

Ability to perform food service functions in one or more of the following areas: cooking, baking or meat cutting.

Ability to read and follow recipes and/or other instructions.   

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
