  • In accordance with Florida Statute 322, Possession of a Classified Driver's License appropriate to the type of vehicle operated and one (1) year of experience operating a motor vehicle



This is work driving or operating various motor vehicles such as a bus, van, truck or other motor vehicle except truck and trailer operator.



Moves controls to drive gasoline or electric-powered trucks, cars, or vehicles and transports materials or people between destinations or work areas.

Moves levers and controls to operate lifting devices, such as disabled lift platforms or other lifts to unload, transport, and stack material.

Hooks towed vehicles to trailer hitches and fastens attachments.

Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.

Manually load or unload materials onto or off vehicle.

Makes minor repairs to vehicle and changes tires.

Inspects vehicle, and checks gas, oil, and water before departure and performs routine maintenance.

Reports delays or accidents.



Operating Vehicles or Equipment

Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Controlling Machines and Processes

Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).

Performing physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials.

Handling and Moving Objects

Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment

Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, often to detect problems or to find out when things are finished.

Knowledge of some or all of the following: weaponry, public safety, security operations, rules, regulations, precautions, prevention, protection of people, data and property
