State Attorney’s Office, 5th Judicial Circuit.

Applicants must be members in good standing of The Florida Bar.  Law school graduates eligible for certification under the Florida Practice Rules will be considered.  Position is an entry level position responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor and criminal traffic cases in County Court in the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Beginning salary for an ASA is $50,000.00 per year ($41,000.00 for CLI).  The position includes State of Florida employee retirement and health insurance options, paid holidays and leave for those applicants who are members of the Florida Bar.

Applicants should be interested in courtroom litigation, and willing to work to do “Justice with Integrity and Diligence.”  Professional communication with law enforcement agencies, victims, witnesses and defense counsel is a large part of the work of an Assistant State Attorney, as well.
