THIS IS AN OPS POSITION.

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities works in partnership with local communities to support people with developmental disabilities in living, learning, and working in their communities. APD provides critical services and supports for customers with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. The Agency serves people with spina bifida, autism, Down syndrome, children age 3-5 at high risk of developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Prader-Willi syndrome, Phelan-McDermid syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. There is no charge or co-payment for services provided through the Agency.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:

It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Must have experience using Microsoft Office software.

Must have experience with basic office equipment.

***DUTIES:

Employees of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities are required to demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service.  This includes, but not limited to, acting in a responsive, professional, courteous manner with the employees, customers and public we serve at all times.

This position is responsible for assisting the Management Review Specialist within the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement and Community Support work streams, and also coordinates with other administrative support staff within the Region to ensure administrative functions are conducted timely to promote Regional operations.

Front desk receptionist for Central Region Orlando office. Answers phone and email inquiries timely and routes complex inquiries to appropriate staff.

Provides secretarial support to the Community Supports and QA/QI Management Review Specialist Supervisor which can include preparing correspondence and reports, filing, and mail distribution. 

Assists with the tracking and preparation of Community Supports and QA/QI assignments including required monthly reports.

Assists in coordination of work assignments within the Regional Office including phone and receptionist duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.
