APD/Sunland - Maintenance Mechanic - Rish Park - Port Saint Joe, FL

Description:

This is a highly specialized position located at Rish Park that requires an extensive knowledge of all types of maintenance duties. This position must be able to work independently and provide a high degree of skill in a varied number of repair responsibilities including electrical and mechanical repairs and installations.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or electrical or mechanical equipment; or

    Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License

     

    Examples of Work:

  • Conduct maintenance work which consists of repairing water pumps, water lines, swimming pool motors and pumps, air conditioners, heat pumps, painting and carpentry work on buildings and board walks.
  • Provide general clean up before and after guests.
  • Assist clients and guests and provide general information concerning the facility.
  • Provide twenty-four (24) hour security for the facility in the absence of the park manager. 
  • Make security checks on buildings and property.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Utilization of equipment, required for the position:
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.
  • Skill in using tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work.
  • Ability to perform a variety of skilled trades functions.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to install, maintain and repair electric motors, generators and other mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements.
  • Ability to follow instructions.

    BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:
