This position surveys health care facilities for compliance with State and Federal Regulations, utilizing the ASPEN program to generate forms for health care surveys.  This position may be required to perform survey duties individually, as a team member or as a team leader. Must pass the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the first 12 months of employment. Travel in a seven county area is required; Counties are Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, and Manatee.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of computer equipment and software and ability to enter, retrieve and manipulate data. Skill in oral communication, interviewing, and writing. Skill in team dynamics. Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments to ensure timely completion.  Skill in effective oral and written communication. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.  Ability to transport assigned equipment. Ability to work before and after normal working hours, including weekends and holidays.  Ability to travel, arranging your own transportation.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two year's experience in a health care field.
  • One year of experience utilizing software programs on the job.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social work or a related field can substitute for one year of the preferred general professional experience.
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social work, public health, or a related field can substitute for two years of the preferred general professional experience.
  • Professional or non-professional experience in social work, public health, or a related field can substitute for the preferred education.
