COVID-19 Planners will support the state health office and county health departments response to the outbreak of COVID-19.


This position will provide coordination in the areas of preparedness planning, operations, and logistics in regard to COVID-19.

COVID-19 logistics functions include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining Inventory Resource Management System (IRMS)
  • Identifying outdated or expired supplies that need to be replaced (e.g. N95)
  • Maintaining the logistics plan that identifies supplies and equipment needed for each DOH-Pinellas clinic.


COVID-19 situation unit functions include but not limited to:

  • Collection and analysis of incident information as soon as possible.
  • Prepare, post, or disseminate resource and situation status information as required, including special requests.
  • Prepare meeting notes and situation reports as required.


Performs related work as required.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to include after normal working hours and on weekends
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate COVID-19 health-related prevention measures such as the need to wear masks, practice social distancing, and sanitation aspects.
  • Must have the ability to fluently speak English

Current State Employees - Salary for current employees is based on employee’s current payband/ paygrade.
