This is an entry level secretarial support position to assist prosecuting attorneys and other office staff within the criminal justice system. Position offers work opportunity to participate in judicial processes in office and courtroom settings. Work environment is team focused and offers staff support and feedback to employees.

Monthly rate of pay is $1,935.09, annualized at $23,221.08, and non-negotiable. Employment provides paid leave (through earned accruals), paid holidays, optional health and other insurance benefits and State of Florida retirement plan options.

The essential duties of this position require, but are not limited to: producing WORD documents, scheduling appointments, document management, travel arrangements and some courtroom attendance. The essential duties of this position also require keyboarding, data entry, professional phone / writing skills, organizational skills,  professional interaction with the public/ law enforcement and staff, and other duties including clerical tasks as needed. Satisfactory work performance, and regular and punctual job attendance is required. Applicant must have ability to accept training and direction,  learn and effectively perform job. This position will require the employee to perform various frequent/repetitive actions in the use of keyboards and phones, and requires repetitive sitting, bending, some pushing/lifting up to 10lbs, with some reaching overhead and filing documents, some for extended periods.

Applicants will be required to take and pass a Keyboarding and Skills Test on site with this employer, or at an employ Florida Career Center. Minimum required keyboarding speed: 50 correct (net) words per minute (on 5 minute test); and minimum required Skills Test Score: 80% correct (at employer's office, with one hour limit test) to be considered for interview. Applicants must pass a  background check. Hired individuals will be required to have proof of identity, and proof of US citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
