We are seeking to hire a Program Administrator who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.  This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

 

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Quality. Medicaid Quality provides data-driven, focused and systematic feedback on the quality of Florida’s Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans, and providers. The Bureau of Medicaid Quality has a strong focus on providing more comprehensive care, improving health outcomes, and reducing costs.

 

This position is responsible for providing supervisory guidance and support to a team of experienced, energetic individuals who manage contracts related to research and evaluations of Medicaid programs and waivers.  The Program Administrator provides management, planning, and direction for the staff conducting these activities.

  • Knowledge and understanding of statistical methods used in research

  • Ability to provide technical assistance regarding vendor, recipient or provider issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of four years’ experience compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and presenting results of analyses.
  • A minimum of two years' experience writing, reviewing, and analyzing program evaluations and reports.

 
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, statistics, mathematics, or economics is preferred and can substitute for one year of the required experience.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, statistics, mathematics, or economics is preferred and can substitute for two years of the required experience.
