JOB SUMMARY: This is a Child Support Records Specialist position in the Department’s Child Support Program in Tallahassee, Florida. Job duties include providing quality customer service, safeguarding confidential information and using the automated system and other resources to produce documents in answer to public records requests, subpoenas and records on appeal. This includes: Researching, analyzing and updating child support case information, preparing and sending correspondence and other written communications, evaluating and responding to public records requests, using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and assisting the Director’s Office administrative services team.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Two years of Child Support Program experience.
  • Two years of experience conducting research and analyzing information to make decisions.
  • Two years of experience communicating with customers for the purpose of resolving inquiries.

   PREFERENCES:

  • Two years of experience safeguarding confidential information.
  • Two years of experience using CAMS to locate documents.
  • Two years of experience preparing written communications.
  • One year of experience evaluating and responding to public records requests.
