Description of Job

This position is responsible for performing housekeeping and janitorial duties.  These duties consist of cleaning and sanitizing public and non-public areas of the building including: Neil Kirkman Building lobby, restrooms, waiting areas, customer service areas, elevators, and screened porches.  The incumbent in this position must have an understanding of proper chemical usage, equipment, safety practices and proper lifting techniques. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of custodial work experience performing housekeeping and janitorial duties.

General Information

The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.

Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to pre-employment fingerprinting and background investigation.

HSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
