MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in marketing, business, merchandising, economics, agriculture, international affairs, leisure services, or communications and two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, agriculture, international affairs, leisure services, business or industry development, the travel industry or in hotel or restaurant management; or

A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in business administration and one (1) year of professional experience as described above.

Professional or paraprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

JOB DUTIES:

Manage and maintain the Agriscience Education Leadership Program (AELP) to promote Florida agriculture learning curriculum in schools. Develop relationships with participants of AELP and the agricultural industry to facilitate communication and understanding of agriculture industry issues and processes. Coordinate industry tours for the AELP throughout the state of Florida. Recruit new classes to the program through outreach to education professionals in Florida. Manage budgets associated with the agriculture education and AELP programs.

Consult agriculture industry members to gather pertinent industry data to be used in developing and implementing marketing activities to expand market sales opportunities for Florida products. Develop and implement an industry outreach strategy to provide networking opportunities and recruitment of new members to the Florida Agriculture Promotional Campaign (FAPC), “Fresh From Florida” membership program.  Follow up activities with written assessments, reports and recommendations as required. Utilize SalesForce to maintain member and industry relationships. Communicate with assigned accounts and the industry regularly to cultivate relationships with “Fresh from Florida” members.

Develop a communication strategy to engage with the industry and members of the “Fresh From Florida” program. Create customized content for multi-media presentations, newsletters, etc.
