DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This is professional work purchasing a variety of commodities and services for the agency.  Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

Processes purchases in MyFloridaMarketPlace eProcurement System (MFMP).  Reviews requisitions for compliance with Department policies and procedures, Chapter 287 Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code 60A and DFS memorandum upon receipt for input into the MFMP.  Ensures that purchase requisitions, change orders, receiving of goods, invoice reconciliation approval, etc. are error free prior to submission into the approval chain.

Serves as the agency's Level 2, P-Card Approver, to include working in the FLAIR System to review and process P-Card purchases. The incumbent must understand basic requirements for P-Card purchases.

Answers inquiries from vendors and division personnel promptly or refers to appropriate persons for handling. 

Assists in the preparation of competitive solicitations pursuant to Chapter 287, F.S. as assigned. 

Processes the original and renewal requisitions for leased copiers.  Maintains the Department's Copier Lease Tracking Log.

Performs other related duties as required.

(NOTE:  This position performs duties and has responsibilities involving the approval and/or processing of vendors' invoices and/or the distribution of warrants to vendors pursuant to s. 215.422, F.S.  The requirements of s. 215.422, F.S. are mandatory and persistent failure to comply with its provisions shall constitute good cause for discharge if the incumbent is found to be responsible or predominantly responsible for the agency's failure to comply.)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma

One year of professional purchasing experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office products and the Internet.

Knowledge of the State of Florida p-card program.

Working knowledge of the FLAIR Accounting System.

Ability to apply Florida Statutes Chapters 287, 215.422 and Rule 60A to agency purchasing requests.

Skilled in the operation of My Florida Market Place (MFMP).

PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Preference will be given to applicants with State of Florida purchasing experience and experience with and knowledge of the various DMS state term contracts, Alternate Contract Source and State Purchasing Agreements.
