This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Finance and Accounting.

 

Salary: $41,097.16 Annual Rate

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works in the Mail Distribution and Invoice Preparation Section (HUB).  This includes receipt of invoices through various methods, distribution of the invoices, daily mail pickup, receipt and distribution of state warrants, receipt, research, and distribution of vendor statements.  Be familiar with programs used by Accounts Payable including but not limited to MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP), FLAIR, BARS, Axiom Pro, FACTS, Information Warehouse and FLAIR RDS.
  • Work assigned invoices from the AP Invoices Mailbox daily.
  • Prepare invoices for timely payment of the department’s legal liabilities.
  • Operate in State accounting systems of moderate complexity.
  • Interacts with other organizational areas and vendors to ensure invoices are routed timely to remain in compliance with the vendor/employee payment processes.
  • Provides assistance to outside vendors and internal divisions relating to accounting records and financial information as needed.
  • Conducts detailed research using various accounting, procurement, and payment programs.
  • Mail distribution.  Ensure invoices are properly distributed to appropriate accounting staff, warrants are processed and mailed, files are maintained, and the bureau main phone line is answered and routed appropriately.
  • Effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Work within a team in a group environment while maintaining the ability to work independently.
  • Work with section lead for Duplicate warrant requests and warrant cancellation requests as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required, including special projects.
