MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (1) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in data processing (excluding data entry), two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or (2) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and four years of experience in data processing (excluding data entry), two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or (3) A master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or management information systems and three years of experience in data processing (excluding data entry), two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or (4) A doctorate from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or management information systems and two years of supervisory experience in data processing (excluding data entry); or (5) Completion of a 1440 classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) and six years of experience in data processing (excluding data entry), two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. (6) Experience in data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college.

DUTIES: Manage FDLE’s twelve (12) Regional Support Administrators (RSA). Lead, direct, train, motivate, encourage, hire, and discipline members of the RSA team. Work directly with agency managers to ensure Information Technology Services are delivered quickly and efficiently. Develop, review, and approve team performance measures, written procedures, team training plans, timesheets, leave requests, and other supervisory administrative duties. Assist in developing and coordinating statewide standards for hardware and software. Coordinate with the DSA manager to provide primary and backup team members for all supported software applications. This position requires frequent travel to statewide regional offices to assist members with technical IT issues as needed and meet with regional management to ensure RSA is aware of current and future projects that may require technical assistance and to ensure that RSA is meeting the needs of the region. Coordinate, research, and recommend standards for the use of mobile computing technologies at FDLE to include cell phones, smartphones, tablets, and similar technologies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of managing windows servers, windows desktops, laptops, printers, anti-virus software, encryption software, group policy objects and enterprise backup solutions. Ability to diagnose technical issues at an enterprise level. Ability to manage technical employees. Ability to build lasting relationships with members outside of your expertise.
