Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of SAS and/or Tableau

 

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience compiling, analyzing and evaluating complex data using statistics, graphics and narratives and preparing documents to report the results.

 

Qualified candidates will be required to take a work sample.
 

The scheduled work hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment. 

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, docuemtns and other written materials.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Participates in organizational reviews to streamline current or the development of new systems and processes.  Analyzes gathered data and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.

 

Designs, recommends and monitors changes to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems, processes and/or procedures.

 

Reviews programs, services forms and reports; confers with management and users to identify and resolve problems.

 

Prepares manuals and trains staff in the use of applications and procedures per policy.

 

Performs other duties as required.
