This detailed and highly skilled position reports to the Senior Management Analyst Supervisor-SES in the Strategic Planning Services Section in the Bureau of Operations. This position performs advanced level work with independent performance of the most complex and difficult assignments under limited supervision.


Coordinate development and implementation of the division’s strategic planning efforts with management and the Office of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management, including reporting progress, implementing objectives, conducting environmental scans, and planning/facilitating annual planning meetings.  


Organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.  Such activities include management oversight responsibility for the following publications:


  • Annual report and long-range plan as required by section 456.026, Florida Statutes;
  • Quarterly performance reports as required by sections 456.025(9) and 456.065(3), Florida Statutes;
  • annual strategic plan;
  • design and develop PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, brochures, posters, and other print materials used to promote the division strategic plan.


Lead workforce strategic planning-related project teams. Keep management apprised of the overall project performance (i.e., staffing or resource needs, completion dates, changes/delays in scheduling, etc.). Distributes and reviews project specific work produced by the project team.


Coordinate complex activities and promotes the division’s strategic plan through internal and external marketing and communication efforts, including direct interaction with the media, strategic partners, and stakeholders.


Conduct research, performs statistical, trend, and data analysis for the division. Uses skilled decision-making techniques in evaluating, planning, and integrating analysis of data to formulate solutions, strategies, and makes recommendations to management to improve management capabilities.


Collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices. Assist in the development and preparation of legislative and budget issues.


Perform related work as required.
