This is a career service position, anticipated to be filled at the rate of $734.97 bi-weekly and requires a highly motivated person to work a 30-hour work week. Travel anticipated for this position is 1-25%.

This is an exciting part-time opportunity within the Agency’s Bureau of Medicaid Program Integrity (MPI). MPI prevents, detects, recovers overpayments, and imposes sanctions related to the Florida Medicaid program.  MPI has several sub-units that serve the overall bureau mission.  Unit functions include the intake of complaints and preliminary investigations, data analysis and development of leads related to suspect providers, recovery of Medicaid overpayments, oversight and monitoring of managed care plans related to program integrity requirements, field-related initiatives, strategic planning, and operational support. The selected candidate must have strong organizational skills, an ability to communicate well both in writing and orally, and be able to work quickly and proficiently on tasks. 

The selected candidate will be expected to have or attain knowledge across a broad array of program integrity issues.  The selected candidate will have a chance to work with MPI units working with a variety of provider types, though their primary job duties will mainly be administrative functions such as coordination and addressing other administrative needs within the unit.  The selected candidate will also be involved in activities of a broader nature within the Agency, to support the Agency’s overall mission.  In addition, the selected candidate may serve as a resource to those within MPI.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • The incumbent must have one year of verifiable experience in a professional office setting.


At least one year of professional use of computer software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
