MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in marketing, business, economics, agriculture, international affairs or merchandising, and two (2) years of experience in marketing, merchandising, customer service, public relations or advertising.

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

JOB DUTIES:

Perform marketing research by assisting in developing survey instruments to better understand our marketing efforts as a division, Florida agricultural industry members, consumers and purchasing behaviors. Assist with analyzing survey research, writing reports and presenting research findings to staff, leadership and external stakeholders. Develop a working knowledge of standard output measurements of events and missions and create reports on findings. Maintain a working knowledge of return on investment impacts and assist with monitoring a variety of programs. Produce research on facts and trends through graphs, charts and other pertinent means of conveying information.

Provide direct support and assistance to project leaders and may be assigned to conduct operations in international/domestic settings, missions and events. Conduct international research with a focus primarily in agricultural related areas with an emphasis on Florida export markets. Produces and reviews briefs, short papers and reports on a variety of topics which are required to establish insight and understanding of international markets, trade agreement impacts, individual agricultural commodity production and other areas of interest to the department.

Assist with writing specialty crop grants and monitor their success and writing reports that analyze the grant project and the funds associated with those projects funded by the grant.  

Conduct research in the field with limited travel.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
