THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ARE PERFERRED

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and be detailed-oriented.


THE HIRED CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING

  • Reviewing contracts, public solicitation documents, administrative policies and rules
  • Handling requests for public records and responding to subpoenas and court orders.
  • Assisting in drafting and reviewing proposed legislation that will affect the Department’s programs and review bills passed into law for applicability and effect on these programs.
  • Conducting legal research.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Attorney Supervisors.
  • Managing collection activities (Small Claims).


THIS POSITION HAS THE FOLLOWING JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS

  • Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
  • Must be a member of The Florida Bar
