Job Description
The Office of the State Courts Administrator is seeking a part-time Instructional Designer to: work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and teams to design and develop self-paced, online educational modules using Articulate Storyline 360; provide training to staff on the fundamentals of instructional design principles, content development, and use of Articulate Storyline 360; and review and update office guidelines for creation of instructional modules. The successful candidate must be able to work 20 hours per week on a regular schedule.

Education and Training Guidelines:

Master’s degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Design, or related area; or completion of graduate level certificate in instructional design for online courses. Current college student enrolled in Instructional Systems master’s program or related area may be considered. 


Proficiency with Articulate Storyline 2 or Articulate 360 required. Proficiency with video/image capture software preferred. Proficiency with audio-editing software preferred.  


Ability to collaborate effectively on project teams, especially with SMEs


Must follow all project guidelines and specifications for procedures, accessibility, Articulate Storyline 360, media use, instructional design, and visual design. 


Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.   


Excellent quality assurance and quality control in personal work products.


Ability to juggle multiple development tasks at the same time.


Excellent organization and time management skills.

Reads abstracts, and legal documents; writes reports; makes presentations to professional groups.

Complexity of Work:

Performs work involving the application of logical principles and thinking to solve practical problems within or applying to a unit or division of the organization; requires continuous, close attention for accurate results. 

Equipment Usage:

Leads or handles machines, tools, equipment or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as projectors, computers, peripherals, or software programs, such as word processing or custom applications.

Physical Demands:

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Special Comments: 
This position is 20 hours per week. The length of employment is 6 months.
