SPECIAL NOTES:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration is preferred.
Requirements:
- Two (2) years of professional accounting experience with the State of Florida.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft 2007 Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Additional preferences:
- Experience with FLAIR, ACH Payments, Credit Cards and Wire Transfer transactions from the State Agency side of the transaction.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience dealing with the public and/or other state agencies.
- Two (2) years of banking experience.
The first 15 days of each month and the end of each fiscal year (June 30th) are times when attendance is crucial.
Interview with consist of oral questions and possibly a work sample.
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $50,000.00 and $54,000.00. The salary may be commensurate with experience.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis. Knowledge of basic management principles and practices. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to work independently. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Review and analyze wire transfer warrants presented by agencies that require immediate payment of funds. These transactions are completed when appropriate warrants are presented, and templates are utilized that have been established in compliance with the funds transfer controls developed in the policies of the Division of Treasury and procedures developed in the Bureau of Funds Management.
- Coordinate banking activities for state agencies participating in the statewide Consolidated Revolving Account.
- Review, analyze and balance debit memos for EFT Returns (ACH, Credit Card) charged back to the Treasury Concentration Account within 3 days of the bank date.
- Serve as an integral team member of the Cash Management Section to provide back up for the various duties within the Section.
- Analyze and assist agencies in resolving unidentified EFT transactions and assist in the implementation of new ACH deposits into the agencies’ sub-accounts in the Treasury Concentration Account
- Review, analyze and balance debit memos for foreign item returns charged back to the Treasury within 3 days of receiving the mailed original.
