The primary responsibility of this position is planning, implementing, and assessing educational programs in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster and the Manufacturing career cluster as well as those in the Engineering and Technology Education cluster. Responsible for providing Technical Assistance to local recipients on how to implement and carry out programs, services and activities related to Career and Technical Education. Organizes team planning activities in the development of statewide instructional program standards, benchmarks and related components; periodically reviews outputs to assure that activities conform to existing laws, regulations, and policies. Analyzes educational, demographic, and labor market data and projections for the improvement of career programs. Provides consultative and liaison services to state and local advisory committees, professional organizations, councils for service to the disabled, occupational regulatory boards, and business and industry groups to improve the quality of career and technical education programs. Provides consultative and liaison services to the Florida Technology Student Association in order to maintain the co‑curricular nature of the student organization with the career program. Coordinates and serves as lead on the administration of the Perkins CTSO Grant while maintaining communication with the Senior Educational Program Director – CTE. Participates in activities to improve professional competencies relevant to the job assignment. Provides technical assistance at the state level to LEAs in the development and implementation of programs in the following Career Clusters: Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, Manufacturing, and Engineering and Technology Education. Plans and coordinates statewide educational conferences, meetings, and/or workshops. Participate in local, state, and national professional staff development conferences, workshops, seminars and other activities related to the functions of the unit.
