JOB SUMMARY: Primary duties involve assisting the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and the Attorney Supervisor of the General Tax Section in planning, organizing, and assisting in providing all legal services necessary to properly support all tax administration functions of the Department of Revenue

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a current member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Must have two or more years of professional experience as an attorney.

PREFERENCES:

  • Professional litigation experience in administrative or judicial forums.
  • Professional experience with state and local tax law.
  • Professional experience with the IRC or Chapter 220, Florida Statutes.
  • Professional experience working with or administering the APA other than litigation at DOAH.

NOTE:

  • This position is located at the new CCOC Complex which is a state of the art LEED certified "green" building. The architectural design utilizes natural light and an open floor plan. The attorneys work in the OGC suite in an ergonomically designed floor to ceiling work stations which have limited privacy.
  • The salary range for this position is between $62,000 to $65,000.
