What You Will Be Doing:

The Solutions Architect position reports directly to the department’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is responsible for establishing future state solution architecture that includes integration platform strategy, shared infrastructure services strategy and application architectural principals and processes for efficiently utilizing solution assets and technologies that enables business outcomes. This position is a member of the enterprise architecture (EA) team and defines the department’s application portfolio that include enterprise applications, custom off the shelf solutions, and integration tools as part of establishing an information strategy.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executive and business stakeholders and technical staff alike.
  • Demonstrated influence, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • System integration experience, including interface design, and familiarity with web-oriented architecture techniques.
  • Knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture.
  • Knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
  • Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture.
  • Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment.
  • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis and design, and programming techniques.
  • Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
  • Effective communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers.

 

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for applicants who have experience with architecting large-scale integration and development projects.

 

SELECTION PROCESS INFORMATION:
