This position reports directly to the Chief of PK-12 Education Information Services within the Division of Technology and Innovation. The employee in this position will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the department’s DQ2 system. Ability to program SAS and SQL scripts and batch processes.
  • Maintain and support several systems for SSRS SQL Server Reports, SSIS Packages and their dependent databases
  • Build and maintain Reports, Packages and SAS batch processes using the Microsoft and SAS MDM Stack of technologies.
  • Build batch processes, reports and programs off of pre-defined requirements, specifications and processes.
  • Assures completeness and accuracy of the systems design, programming and implementation.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, and reporting units.
  • Developer will also be expected to document design specifications and technical functionality for all applications they supporting.



  • 1 or more years’ experience with SAS/ SAS Data Flux MDD
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL Server
  • 3+ years’ experience writing Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers in Transact SQL on Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2016
  • 3+ years’ experience designing databases and data models.
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL Server SSIS, SSRS
  • Ability to design SSRS reports and SSIS packages from design specs.
  • Ability to design business rules and processes that execute code against large datasets.
  • Ability to analyze data and build data quality reports and scripts to ensure data clean data is accurate and validated.
  • Familiar with Design Patterns, Architecture Pattern, Cloud Patterns, Dependency Injection
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research, to work independently and as a member of a team, and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze information to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, and produce solutions.
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position.



  • Jr. – Intermediate DBA experience
  • .NET Experience
