The Department of Management Services is the business arm of Florida government with a mission to support state agencies and current and former state employees with workforce and business-related functions. The department administers retirement and health benefits, advises on human resource policy and maintains the state’s human resource information system. The department also provides statewide telecommunications services, manages state facilities, establishes contracts from which agencies buy supplies and services, and manages state assets like Florida’s private prisons and vehicle fleet.
