The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida. These surveys ensure that all state licensed, and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements and patients and residents receive safe, quality health care. Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities when emergencies such as natural disasters occur.

 

The Work You'll Do:

 

The activities of this position are related to licensing and certification of health care facilities. The position provides administrative support to professional staff in a field office within the Bureau of Field Operations, Division of Health Care Policy and Oversight.

 

This position is responsible for the utilization of microcomputer equipment and software for VERSA, ASPEN, OSCAR, LASERFICHE and others for input, retrieval and storage of data required to perform licensure and certification functions.

Inputs and updates provider data, including but not limited to full surveys, complaints, revisits, and other inspections, for assigned programs.

The incumbent will create Work-In-Progress Folders and electronic surveys for surveyors.

Compile and submit completed survey kits to the Central Office, primarily using Laserfiche scanner.

Prepares and mails/faxes correspondence to providers, complainants, and other parties.

Provide data, updating, listing, schedules, and other print out materials from stored information as may be required.

Maintain workload tracking logs.

Answer the telephone, respond to routine inquiries, and performs mail outs, performs photocopying and faxing, licensure and certification filing.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work and/or professional regulation related to administrative duties.

 

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
