FOOD SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR

This position acts as an assistant to the Food Service Director II and helps to coordinate all Food Service operation following established rules, regulation, policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limit)

  • Supervise and monitor Food Service staff in the preparation of food and in the serving of food. This supervision time will mainly be spent communication, motivating, coaching/training and evaluating Food Service staff.
  • Check all food items daily, during and after preparation to ensure that quality, quantity, proper taste, eye appeal is maintained and that wastes are prevented.
  • Maintain work schedules and filling out daily production schedules. Employee will observe job performance, attendance and attitudes of food service employees. Approve and schedules leave requests. Makes necessary reprimands and notes employee’s progress regularly. Prepares employees performance appraisal for review by Food Service Director.
  • Maintain and enforce sanitary conditions in all preparation and serving areas. Will track conditions that may need changing and communicate the necessary information to the Food Service Director.
  • Check appropriate cleaning schedules and monitor to ensure each employee is doing assigned cleaning.
  • Consult with the Food Service Director on policies, procedures, work schedules, leave request, menu changes, supply and equipment need.
  • Evaluate food Service staff based on specified criteria of their responsibilities. Will meet with employees on an as-needed basis to ensure that the specified criteria are met.
  • Monitor the orders of the modified diet needs in preparation and delivery. Supervises strict adherence to approved meal delivery schedules.
  • Monitor amount of food and proper temperature of food that is to be sent to each building. And will ensure that each pan is labeled properly with the correct building number when we do Breakfast. All other times will be on the tray line.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The ability to follow oral and written instructions. Microsoft Office. Pass background check level II. Applicant must have Food Protection Manager Certificate, or be able to earn it within 30 days after being hired.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Work schedule is Sunday – Thursday. Days off are Friday and Saturday of each week.

The assigned shift is from 10:00 am. – 6:30 pm. which is an 8-hr. shift. But there are days where you will have to overlap to cover both shifts.  Must be able to work weekends, holidays and extra hours on occasion.
