Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position serves as a Health Data Analyst for the EMS Community Health Care Program. This position Is a highly responsible and technical position requiring specific capabilities and skllls. This position speclflcally focuses on the use of demographic, health, and financial data to support the development and strategic growth of the EMS Community Health care Program pursuant to section 401.272, Florida Statutes.

 

Assist local EMS Agencies with the Interpretation of specified data for the purposes of planning, Implementing and enhancing local EMS Community Health Care programs.

 

This position serves as the liaison between the Community Paramediclne Program and the Office of Rural Health, Florida Rural Health Association, EMS providers and other specified community partners. Duties Include but are not limited to Identifying opportunities for data sharing.

 

Assists In the development of data collection strategies, methodologies and metrics relating to the evaluation of the economic and population health Impacts of EMS Community Health Care Program statewide.

 

Prepares data reports, summaries, and other written documentation of program activities required to support the EMS Community Healthcare Program. Examples of data sources used Include health, demographic and financial data.

 

Conducts continuous environmental scans of data sources or data driven research relating to EMS Community Healthcare or relatable programs.

Other duties as assigned Including providing assistance as needed in response to and recovery following natural or man-made disasters.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

• Ability to analyze and organize statistical information to display results of data analyses in reports, charts, and graphs, using Microsoft Excel, Access, and/or Word, and ability to import/export data in various formats.

 

• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to interpret results of data analyses to stakeholders with varying levels of understanding of statistics and data, and ability to provide technical assistance to internal staff and external stakeholders on data-related issues.

 

• Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others, both internally and externally.

 

• Ability to work independently to plan, organize and complete work assignments.

 

• Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and assignments with rapid turnaround times.

 

Qualifications:

Work experience relating to public safety, public health, healthcare or Emergency Medical Services.

 

Perferred:

Associates degree or equivalent work experience relating to public safety, public health, healthcare or Emergency Medical Services.

Florida Driver’s License

Certified Florida Paramedic

Travel Time: 1-25 %
