The Work You Will Do:

Senior Clerk – District Six- Transportation Support/ Human Resources Office

 

This position is a Senior Clerk in the District Six Human Resources Office. Provides support with clerical functions, answers phones, assists employees and other administrative tasks.

Annual Salary:

$38,161.50

 

A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $ $1,268.80 will be added to the annual salary.

 

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

Provides support to District Six Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Coordinators. Maintains calendar for Human Resources Office (HRO), which includes scheduling appointments for upcoming events and actions. Performs independent clerical work performing assignments that require independent judgement. Operates a variety of standard office equipment such as fax, copies, scanners, and computers. Prepares, organizes, and distributes materials including mail, supplies and other office equipment.

 

Maintains confidential Human Resources personnel records for active and separated employees. Ensures the confidentiality of employee information in accordance with statutes, rules, policies, procedures and guidelines. Accurately scans and files digitized employee documents into an electronic document management system. Assists with the Tuition Waiver process, creates entries in SharePoint and tracks pertinent information. Creates flyers for HRO trainings. Prepares meeting minutes. Conducts audits of active and separated employee records for content. Follows established guidelines, policies, and procedures to purge separated employee records only after applicable retention periods are met.

 

Responds to assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Receives and submits requests made from internal and external requestors in accordance with statutes, rules policies, procedures, and guidelines. Locates, organizes, digitizes and accurately redacts confidential employee information as needed from electronic records using Kofax PDF advanced.

 

Assists with written and verbal requests made by internal and external requestors, including faxing, scanning, and printing documents.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Personnel principles and practices.
  • Determining work priorities of assigned work while ensuring proper completion.

 

Skills in:

  • Writing and speaking English on a comprehensive level to communicate effectively to the general public, work contacts and co-workers. 

 

 Ability to:

  • Use and create excel, Microsoft Word and PDF documents. 
  • Handle multiple tasks, to access, input and retrieve information from the computer database work independently and as a member of a team in a collaborative environment

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Highschool Diploma or certificate of Highschool equivalency.
