Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform various clerical duties in the Vital Statistics office. The incumbent is responsible for making independent decisions using State and Local policies and procedures regarding issuance of birth and death certificates. The position is expected to provide excellent customer service.
Determines applicant’s eligibility and issues certified copies of birth and death records. Collects associated fees and report collections on a daily cash report.
Assist the Health Administration Services Manager with various administrative functions, including, but not limited to reporting, copying, filing, inventory, stocking, etc. Assists with facility and safety inspections, drills, meetings, and other related actions.
Performs other related work as required.
Responsible for the timely submission of timesheets and employee activity reports (EARs).
Information custodian responsibilities include maintaining information in accordance with state and federal statutes, rules, regulations and Department of Health Security Policy 3 and associated Protocols and Procedures as it relates to information Custodian, Delegation of Authority. This responsibility is to be adhered to 100% of the time.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position Knowledge of basic office equipment including, but not limited to computers, copier units, fax machines, and printers. Ability to apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the health department and Vital Statistics. Knowledge of and ability to perform basic mathematic functions to calculate fees, issue change, and reconcile daily cash receipts. Ability to communicate with the public and staff, verbally and in writing, using proper grammar and spelling. Qualifications: Minimum -
