DESCRIPTION:
The Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) is seeking a dedicated Distributed Computer Analyst to join our team. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems, phone systems, and other office technology. This position provides technical support to judges, mediators, and staff across DOAH offices in the Central Florida region. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, a strong problem solver, and comfortable traveling within the state to provide on-site support as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide help desk support for judges, mediators, and staff, resolving technical issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and update computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Maintain and support computer systems, local file servers, and VoIP phone systems at different district offices.
• Provide desktop application support in a Windows environment.
• Train users on basic technical processes and software usage as needed.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve complex technical problems.
• Travel to DOAH offices statewide to provide on-site technical support as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and/or computer systems analysis.
• Knowledge of data security measures
• Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
• Ability to develop training programs related to distributed processing operations and procedures.
• Ability to monitor and resolve problems with distributed computer systems components.
• Ability to identify and define user task needs. Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to write technical data processing reports.
• Ability to use project management techniques to manage assigned projects.
• Ability to assess policies and procedures and make recommendations for change.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience working in an Information Technology Support environment.
• Experience in customer call documentation and tracking system/ticketing system.
• Experience supporting VoIP products.
• College or trade school education in Information Technology field.
• Experience in supporting Windows 10 or newer Windows operating systems & compatible applications.
• Experience in support of MS Office 365 applications.
• Experience managing mobile devices in a mobile device management environment.
• Experience using remote control applications.
Successful completion of Level 2 background screening is required for all positions with the Division of Administrative Hearings.
