The Office of the Public Defender, Second Judicial Circuit is accepting applications for the chief Assistant Public Defender position for the Franklin County (Apalachicola) office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility of assistant public defenders is to provide effective and professional representation to people charged with criminal offenses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Juris Doctorate

Five (5) years' or more years' experience in criminal defense law required.

At least 3 years' experience leading an office or team is preferred, but not required.
