MAJOR FUNCTION:
This is a full-time position performing job duties with the Office of the State Attorney, Tenth Judicial Circuit, serving Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties. The selected applicant will work at the State Attorney’s Office in Bartow, with travel to branch offices as deemed necessary.
The essential function of this position is to analyze systems and work to support and improve the office business functions relating to technologies. This position troubleshoots and diagnoses issues with PC’s and software applications. The selected candidate will be expected to perform work independently, reviewing, configuring, and making recommendations as to system changes. The duties of this position require the candidate to work in the office.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

- Help desk support, including but not limited to monitoring and completing tasks assigned
- Maintain inventory of laptops, desktops, MIFI’s
- Setup and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
- Support users in case management system, to include training of scanning, email, MS Word, and other software
- Troubleshoot PC, scanning, printing, copier issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to IT/IS
- Position may require periodic after hours work in support
- Make recommendations to the IT Director on quality improvements
- Other duties as needed
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to diagnose PC, printer, scanner and copier issues
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to maintain accuracy, paying special attention to detail is of utmost importance
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to think logically and to analyze and solve problems
- Knowledge of Microsoft windows operating system
EDUCATION/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalency with one (1) year of experience in computer operations; vocational school training or experience in computer operations, systems, analysis, or programming;
- A+ certification is a plus
- Network+ certification is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to maintain files, supplies, and documents. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
- Applicant must have and maintain a valid driver license and/or reliable transportation that would allow for travel between branch offices;
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus;
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate;

*SALARY: The starting salary for this position is $40,000.00 per year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and work experience of candidate.
