Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory. Persistent failure to comply with this section by any agency of the state shall constitute good cause for discharge of employees duly found responsible, or predominantly responsible, for failure to comply.
MAINTENANCE
Performs and assists in the supervision of repairs, maintenance and construction of park buildings and facilities. Performs and assists in the supervision of maintenance and repairs of vehicles, equipment and facilities in the park. Operates park maintenance equipment.
ADMINISTRATION
Estimates materials for repair, maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, equipment and vehicles.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- principles and techniques of the skilled building trades and/or mechanical repair work
- safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work
SKILL IN:
- using various tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work.
ABILITY TO:
- perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, small engine, vehicle, and masonry repairs
- install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment
- follow verbal and written instructions
- coordinate work assignments and ensure proper completion
- determine work priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
Position of Special Trust Requirement:
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour
