The Work You Will Do:
IT Configuration Analyst/ Office of Toll Operations/Tolls Data Center
This position will contribute to the agency by maintaining the health, structure and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its components, while being responsible for configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management, developing and enforcing CMDB policies.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Maintain the health, structure and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its components. Ensures CI (Configuration items) attributes and relationships are correctly defined, current and complete. Perform regular audits and reconcile CMDB with discovery tools and external data sources. Manage and resolve CMDB data integrity issues and discrepancies.
Responsible for Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management. Define and implement standards for CI types, Naming conventions, and data classification. Ensure proper onboarding, updating, and retirement of CIs in accordance with lifecycle policies. Collaborate with asset management and infrastructure teams to ensure CI records reflect the true state of the environment.
Develop and enforce CMDB policies, procedures, and controls. Monitor compliance with configuration management standards and audit requirements. Support CMDB governance meetings and reporting, including data key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
Collaborate with Change, Incident, Problem, Request, and Release Management teams to ensure CMDB data supports Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes. Serve as a liaison for application and infrastructure teams to capture and maintain accurate CI relationships and dependencies. Provide CMDB training and guidance to stakeholders and users.
Support integration of the CMDB with automated discovery tools, ITSM platforms, and third-party systems. Assist in the configuration and optimization of CMDB modules and dashboards. Participate in CMDB tool upgrades, enhancements, and configuration initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned. Serves in times of emergency to support state response efforts and ensure continuity of operations.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- information technology principles and practices
- IT configuration management, asset management, or similar IT operations role
- the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework; ITIL certification is preferred
- cloud infrastructure, hybrid IT environments, enterprise architecture, and service mapping principles
Skills in:
- using CMDB tools and ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow
- IT configuration and asset management within operational IT environments
- analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and documentation
Ability to:
- communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
