The Work You Will Do:

SunPass Business Partnership Manager – Office of Toll Operations- SunPass Program

 

This position will manage and provide policy direction to the SunPass Retail Program. The incumbent will manage, develop and promote transponder sales initiatives and secure new partnerships with major retailers, chains, distributors, packagers, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Welcomes Centers and Rest Areas, other distribution channels, and other agencies.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Manage and provide policy direction to the SunPass Retail Program.  Manage, develop and promote transponder sales initiatives and secure new partnerships with major retailers, chains, distributors, packagers, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Welcomes Centers and Rest Areas, other distribution channels, and other agencies. Manage the SunPass activation kiosk program. Direct, plan, and execute distribution activities, forecasting purchases, packaging, and inventory of transponders and SunPass product accessories (e.g., manuals, user's guides, forms, brochures, applications, etc).   Plan, develop, implement, and monitor program changes and determine compliance with laws, rules, and procedures.  Prepare and present research reports, exhibits, and materials to management and other officials.  Serve as a liaison between the agency and other local, state, federal offices, and private firms within the framework of SunPass operations.  Assume direct accountability for own work. Create, maintain, and provide reports that will measure program and initiative results.

 

Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of relationships with government and commercial market clients and service partners associated with the SunPass Plus parking program and the rental car service provider programs.  This includes, but is not limited to, contract development and management, conducting complex research, analysis, studies, and evaluation to identify creative solutions to program challenges.  Provide direction, information, and feedback to operational staff and other departments to ensure their awareness of all program and partner-related items, procedures, and compliance issues. Work with the operations team and other departments to ensure that staff is adequately informed and prepared for any new implementation of program changes and developments. Create, maintain, and provide reports that will measure program and initiative results.

 

Develop, maintain, and manage all contractual agreements between Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise -SunPass and external partners, including toll agencies, rental car service providers, intermediary service providers, SunPass Plus parking providers, retailers, county tax collectors, transponder suppliers, warehouse and fulfillment service providers, and other business partners.  Responsible for managing contract renewals, extensions, modifications, amendments, and any changes to contract or agreement terms and conditions.

 

Manage the development, implementation, maintenance, and expansion of a Money Services Business program.  The Money Services Business program consists of a network of retail locations providing secure, convenient, fast (real-time), and reliable options for cash replenishment of prepaid SunPass® transponder accounts, Document Payments of TOLL-BY-PLATE Invoices, and Uniform Traffic Citations (UTCs), and sales of SunPass transponders for the cash preferred customer.   Create, maintain and provide reports that will measure program and initiative results.

 

Administer the SunPass packaging program which includes contract compliance, marketing, quantity and demand estimates, and invoices. Provide direction, information, and feedback to department senior management via attendance at management meetings.   Provide direction, information, and feedback to operational staff and other departments to ensure their awareness of all marketing and packaging vendor planning. Work with the operations team and other departments to ensure that staff is adequately informed and prepared for any new implementation of marketing or packaging vendor information. Create, maintain, and provide reports that will measure project and initiative results. 

 

Attend internal meetings, public meetings, and planning sessions as appropriate to keep up-to-date on project developments and operational issues. Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry. Work with the Public Information Officer in the planning, coordinating and securing of promotional events.

 

Perform other duties as assigned.  Serves in times of emergency to support state response efforts and ensuring continuity of operations.
